The What
Alex, a French guy strives to end his love affair with his New York girlfriend. So, he comes to town to do the nasty deed. But first, he needs to practice how it will be done, so that when the fateful moment arrives, he will be at his best.

The Why
Olivier Lecot’s second short film, follows along his first (Personne Avant Toi) in its attempt to uncover the mangled truth, actions and doubts that make ‘love’ so hard. A comedy, ‘Je Suis Venu Te Dire’ plays with the idea of separation and the end of love stories. “I can’t go on” are uneasy words to say. So Alex, the main character, practices his delivery so to be at his best when the fateful moment arrives. But he won’t be as good as he hoped. He’s not absolutely sure what he wants and that’s the rub.
