The
Play

The Play is an award winning script written by director Mark Strand. We
are currently looking for development partners to commence principal photography.
The trailer was shot by the director and DP Frank DeMarco 'Hedwig and
the Angry Inch' to present stylistic options.
The Play is a noir drama about the boundaries of friendship, trust and deceit between pool playing hustlers. The Play is about a billiard club owner, Jimmi Allen. Jimmi is one of the country's best known pool hustlers. His greatest opponent is his estranged brother, Max. In an effort to avoid being taken by his brother, Jimmi foolishly enters into a game with a wealthy gambler named Chivas. After a tight match Jimmi is left penniless. With nowhere to turn Jimmi approaches Max for help. After a reconciliation the pair set upon winning back Jimmi's club. They approach Chivas for a final game. The final match reveals a cunning plot the brothers have successfully executed from the beginning to defeat Chivas. Trailer
